Sunrise: What a beautiful way to get natural Vitamin D

The world has unlimited beauty in it. From forests, flowers, animals, oceans, lakes, snow, rain, and my all-time favorite, sunrises. I witnessed the most amazing sunrise not too long ago with my little family.

The alarm went off at 4:00 am, coffee was brewed, beach bag packed and kids in the car. Off we went to the beach for the sunrise at 5:30 am. The idea was to get to the beach early enough so we miss the killer humidity we have here in the UAE summer. Furthermore, we wanted to miss the crowd that you find at the beach on weekends. And besides, what better way to get our daily natural Vitamin D.

WHAT IS VITAMIN D?
Vitamin D is not one chemical but many. The natural type is produced in the skin from a universally present form of cholesterol, 7-dehydrocholesterol.

WHY DO WE NEED VITAMIN D?
Vitamin D’s best-known role is to keep bones healthy by increasing the intestinal absorption of calcium. A lack of vitamin D causes bone diseases. Not to forget that Vitamin D plays an important part in regulating cell growth. You can read more about it here.

Getting outdoors really has so many benefits. As I have mentioned above, Vitamin D, but getting a breath-of-fresh air with stunning views, is really food for the mind. The children run around getting their physical activity in for the day. Messy play with sand and seawater, and picking up seashells. All-round benefits for both adults and children. Trust me, all of this ensures better sleep for all.

We were lucky to capture the sunrise on camera. Not only did we capture the children with the sunrise in the background, but also a time laps of the sun rising on the horizon. With the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and a majestic mosque in the background. Words cannot explain the mouth dropping beauty.

We used the Google Pixel 3XL, which has been updated with the Google Pixel 4 XL – Just Black – 64GB – Unlocked. You can find it on Amazon here.

Even if you are not an early riser, it is worth the trip to the beach for the sunrise.
